Decawave Demonstrates Ongoing Commitment to Quality with ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification Renewal
As further proof of our commitment to deliver only the highest-quality products and services, Decawave is proud to announce that we have successfully renewed our ISO 9001:2015 certification. This ISO standard defines the requirements for a quality management system (QMS), which for Decawave covers the design, development and manufacturing of UWB-based precision location and communication silicon solutions.
Decawave was originally certified in August 2016, making it one of the first companies in Ireland to be assessed against the new standard. The process requires a complete re-assessment audit every three years, ensuring that we are continuing to meet strict customer and regulatory requirements.
“This process underlines our commitment to working toward best practices for our customers and partners,” said Decawave CEO Ciaran Connell. “We are committed to be the preferred supplier of UWB-based precision location and communication silicon solutions, and the ongoing certification is a recognition of our invested effort to establish and maintain the highest quality production standards.”
Decawave Quality Manager, Sharon Meyler, has overseen the development of the company’s quality systems during the last few years. “Our aim since initial certification has been to promote and develop our quality systems to improve Decawave’s overall performance and minimise risk to the company by providing tools to continuously improve process quality, consistency and scalability. We work in a dynamic, challenging industry, so our QMS needs to be able to respond to changes in business demands,” said Meyler.
Certification to world-class standards gives organizations and their customers an advantage. NSAI Chief Executive Geraldine Larkin says, “You can see the real difference standards make to your business, and you reap rewards from these benefits. Not only do you gain competitive advantage – improving efficiency, reducing costs and minimising waste – your industries will continue to benefit because of your investment.”
